She Adored New York.

I'm back in New York! And it sure feels good. Got in last night and set out on a mission for Italian food along with my mother and Adam (an old family friend). I stumbled back into bed at 2 in the morning and fell asleep in the sweltering heat. Woke up this morning and wandered through china town till we came to a very efficient little diner with delicious bacon. We headed down to union square and the half hour walked reminded me of how beautiful the city's architecture is.I took several photos but have just discovered that I can't post them on my blog from my iPad, so until I work that out you can visit my Facebook page to see them. I had amazingly fun walking to union square. We passed by shops that sold every manner of clothing from ridiculose teen crap to a shop full of beautiful designer Tibetan clothing that was way out of my price range. I bumped into more people than I can count and realized that jay walking is basically a law in New York. I saw the famous Strand book store. We got to union square and Adam bought some shell pease, only to have half of them taken by some chavs( loud cockney English girls). We went for sushi, frozen yogurt and finally ended up at a performance of Hamlet that was actually very good at a place called Theatre for a New City. I was glad it was a good productions because Shakespeare done by incompetent actors makes you want to tear your hair, as shown by Keanu Reeves in Much Ado About Nothing. By the time we left the theatre night had fallen and I enjoyed walking back even more because New York on a summer night is the best place in the world. The lights above the decked out Indian restraints twinkled, the hipster restaurants and bars were so packed with young drunk people that they spilled out onto the sidewalk, and the boiling temperature of the day had cooled down to a perfect warm night. Although I'm cant wait to get to France, for now, I'm happy to be balck in the New York groove. Sincerely, Drama Queen P.S. for photos of the architectur and the sushi go to http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=466998129978685&set=a.110511215627380.18365.100000055056120&type=3
